And today's WORD O' THE DAY is..
BALDACHIN.
?1?!?
No, baldachin does not have anything to do with John Travolta ( Or Chins at all for that matter. )
But in passing, i just wanted to mention:
John Travolta's Chin = HOT.
Anyway.
Here's a real baldachin.
Definition :
(1) A cloth canopy fixed or carried over an important person or a sacred object
(2) A rich embroidered fabric of silk and gold
(3) An ornamental structure resembling a canopy used especially over an altar
CREATIVE JUICE!
(slurpslurpslurp)
This makes me think of :
Ruins. Castles. Fantasy!. Ancient Traditions. Secrets of Royalty. Ancient China. Aladdin?. Mystic Far Off Places. The Pleasure Of A Dream.
Maybe dreams are real.
Maybe there's a place where dreams literally come true.
The fate of that world is in the mind and musings of a dreamer.
Oh wait.
That's the move Inception.
( Kinda )
Random Story:
One summer when i was just a wee thing, i was reading the literary classic Arabian Nights, and i would bring it to the beach with me.
Now, on this beach, there was a large piling of rocks and things.
You could either call it a Jetty,
OR
A mystical fortress/land/hideout.
A.k.A THE BEST PLACE TO PLAY. ( Always the places that make mom worry the most )
Anyway,
Apparently, someone had randomly drilled a large hole into one of the rocks, and it was like a tube down and out the other side of the rock, and on that other side was this little nook (and cranny) where i could stash my book!
I'm probably elaborating on this times a million, but it doesn't really matter what the reality of it was because at the time i totally thought it was the coolest thing eva.
No one knew what i was doing, running all over the Jetty, sometimes with my book, sometimes not ( like a ninja! )
But i was such a happy little girl, playing with that rock with the hole drilled into it.
So thank you, person who had random desire to drill.
Ah, the mysterious forces of the universe.
They enthrall me.
People make impacts on each others lives in ways they never imagine.
And sometimes, we never get to tell people how they've affected us.
But i think whenever we do have a chance to let people know that their existence matters to us, and that they have made their mark in our world...
we should seize that chance.
One of the kindest things you can ever do is tell someone you appreciate them.
Like that guy who works at the Wawa i go to.
Totally makes me happy just that he's alive.
Hey Wawa guy..
you're the jam. :)
That's all for today ladies and gents.
I think I'll go tell someone I appreciate them today.
( And side note * I know we're just getting acquainted here but...
when I write that I'm going to do something like that.
I do it.
Look at my other blog, www.lemonbookworm.blogspot.com, for my promise to never write a lie. )
Adios!
Yours Truly,
Lemony.

WORD O' THE DAY! ( Holla)
And today's WORD O' THE DAY! is:
AARDWOLF.
A maned striped nocturnal mammal of southern and eastern Africa that resembles the related hyenas and feeds chiefly on insects and especially termites.
YEAH.
My mind was blown too.
To keep the creative-y ( look at that. making up words. ) flow flowing, I shall share with you some of the sparks of thought which are ignited by these ( usually unusually ) WORD O' THE DAY!s.
( side note : everytime i write WORD O' THE DAY!, i imagine it being screamed by the cheesiest auto-dealer ever.)
Aardwolf.
This makes me think:
ThE UnKnoWn. ThE StraNge. ThE OftEn OvEr-LoOkEd.
How often do we convince ourselves we didn't see what we saw?
How quickly do we throw aside "wild" assumptions to console ourselves that reality is not, and could not be, more than what we know?
Maybe I'm slightly crazy.
But maybe that's a good thing.
This also makes me think of Alice in Wonderland.
Maybe Lewis Carrol knew something about the Aardwolf too.
That's all for now.
Let me know what crazy things pop into your head when you hear AARDWOLFS EXIST.
( Makes just about anything seem possible huh? )
Sincerely,
Lemonface.

The Beginning. Part I. Bring me that Horizon!
Dear Reader,
I am now going to explain to you that I am in touch with reality.
Then I’m going to throw that out the window.
Love,
Your Host
Julia Lemons.
PART I.
THE FIRST POST A NEW BLOG IS….
Intended to explain the purpose of that blog, introduce reader to writer, and instill in those readers some expectation of what’s to come.
This I know.
Here. I’ll even try it.
“Hi. I’m Julia Lemons. I like to write. I like to do creative things. I like socks, and sitting in hot cars. I never had any normal pets, only chickens, hermit crabs, fish, and bunnies. ”
BLAH BLAH BLAH.
This is not nearly fun or interesting enough for me.
Moving on.
Here’s my revised interpretation.
The first post on a new blog is…
A BREACH UNTO A NEW HORIZION.
Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.
Now isn’t that better?
This might just be another blog on the overcrowded internet.
If you want to think of it that way.
But I’m forever nine.
And I say,
This is a new adventure.
So get out your fairy dust and put on your eyepatch.
You’ve got some exploring to do.
WELCOME TO LEMONY LETTERS AND THE CREATIVE ADVENTURE. :D
